Chroma is a hanging lamp symbolising the relationship between light and darkness.
Black thermochromatic pigments lose their colour and turn translucent through a change of temperature induced by the LED. Therefore the amount of emitted light slowly increases as the LED is heating up. Aluminium rods, functioning as a heat sink, carry the heat into the tinted resin in order to trigger the effect. It takes about 4 minutes for the effect to start and the lamp body changes from black to opaque over a period of approximately 30 minutes.
“Light always overcomes darkness.”
When cooling down, the lamp goes back to its original state. The process is endlessly reversible.
